An EXCELLENT example of World War 1 / 2 , First City Regiment Collar Badge. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on  obverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Lugs Intact. 

The Regiment was founded in October 1875 in Grahamstown on the Cape Colony Eastern Frontier. This Unit participated in the Basutoland Campaign , Boer War & in the Great War - before forming part of the 6th SA Armoured Division in World War 2.

The ideal addition to any UDF / South African Second World War Era Insignia collection or display- for the enthusiast seeking a unique period piece for their assortment.
