This piece is in a GOOD, USED CONDITION- All parts appear to be present and Blade in good order. Leather frog remains in a superb State and press Studs are functional. Original manufacturer/ date issue stamps are evident. Blued finish remains largely complete for Bayonet & Scabbard.

An EXCELLENT example of a WW2 German K98 Bayonet with Scabbard & Leather Frog. This piece appears to be in a well-preserved state , with Blued finish intact & rare red bakelite grip scales complete. The original issue manufacturer stamps are clear & present. Minimal Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Blade does retain a sharp point and must be handled with care. The Leather Frog/ Seitengewehrtragetasche remains supple and retention tab is functional.

This type of Bayonet was utilised by all members of the German Wehrmacht & Waffen-SS , with the Karabiner 98 Bolt-action Rifle. Serial Numbers are matching on both Bayonet & Steel Scabbard, with flash guard plate remaining intact on handle spine.
