Piece has been attested to original owner on manufacturer's label. The Lincolnshire Regiment was founded in 1685 & has participated in a multitude of conflicts from the American Revolutionary War - to the evacuation at Dunkirk in 1940 , and the Allied invasion of Normandy on 6 June 1944.
