An EXCELLENT example of World War 2, 1940s Spike Bayonet NO.4 MKII w/ Steel Scabbard. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with sharpened spike blade and press-adjustment mortise. All parts present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Steel Scabbard and Bayonet are clearly marked with correct nomenclature. Note : Bayonet tip is exceptionally sharp!
This piece was produced from 1942 onward for use with the SMLE NO.4 Rifle , being subcontracted for manufacturing in the United States of America under the Lend-Lease program.
