An EXCELLENT example of World War 2 , 1940s South African Air Force Brass Sandcast Insignia Ashtray. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Graphic Relief on  obverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Features appear detailed and defined.  SA Air Force Motto  acronym is present in both English & Afrikaans. Ashtray will display some degree of small casting imperfections due to method employed.

This piece , is a private commission sandcast decorative Ashtray - obtained by a South African Air Force Serviceman whilst stationed in Egypt from 1941 - 1943.
