This item remains in a GOOD, USED CONDITION- All parts appear to be present and Helmet shell is in good order. Webbing chin-strap construction is complete.  Original lining cushion pad evident. Maker's marks present.

An EXCELLENT example of a WW2 Union Defence Force 1940 Desert Camouflage 'Brodie' Helmet with Strap. This  piece appears to be in a GOOD, USED  state , with shell & Liner  intact. The original backing pad is present on the liner. Appropriate Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Oil skin cloth Liner construction displays minor wear. 

This locally produced Helmet variety was characterised by the presence of three rear grommets for attachment of a protective sun nape/ neck flap. Members of the Union Defence Force would have utilised such Helmets whilst stationed in North Africa during the Conflict. 

The ideal addition to any 1940s /  World War 2  Helmet collection or display- for the enthusiast seeking a unique period piece for their assortment.
