An EXCELLENT example of a WW1 (1914-18) Austro-Hungarian 'Pro Deo Et Patria' Medal with Suspension Ribbon. This piece appears to be in a well preserved state , with detailed Relief on both obverse and reverse. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Silverplated finish is largely intact & Ribbon displays minor wear.
This Award was instituted in 1929, to recognize the service rendered by Hungarian soldiers who had served in the Austro-Hungarian Army; as Frontline Combatants during the First World War.
