1.11 Ct STUNNING TOP FIRE RAINBOW MULTI FLASHY 3D HONEY COMB WELO BLACK OPAL ERV R18690

Where do these best opals come from?

Common Opal is found in a limited number of countries. A small amount of precious Opal is found in Brazil and Mexico. However, 96% of the worlds precious opal comes from three isolated areas in the outback of Australia.

Is opal a mineral or rock?

Opal is a hydrated amorphous form of silica (SiO. nH2O); its water content may range from 3 to 21% by weight, but is usually between 6 and 10%. Because of its amorphous character, it is classed as a mineraloid, unlike crystalline forms of silica, which are classed as minerals.
