All black diamond have inclusions/defects by definition, but sometimes difficult to notice with the naked eye. I cannot in any case. This one has a small chip on the side of the diamond, that you can see if you really look for it. It looks a lot worse in the photo, in real life it looks like a tiny tiny chip. The table is clean and the lustre amazing.
I actually had a ring made for my wife, for our tenth anniversary, and let me tell you - a black diamond in such a setting is simply breathtaking and unique! Combined with some small white diamonds and white gold the effect is just unreal.
Keep it a surprise for your loved one - it is well worth the look on their face!

Certificate of authenticity:
Can be done for R120, which includes a nice certificate with a picture of the gem on, etc. It is done by an independent jeweller in Pretoria, if you are interested. Let me know if you are the winner.
Please note:
The image is of the actual diamond. As far as value is concerned - I'd say in SA you'd look at R1000+ per carat, but replacement value is a lot higher, probably around R5000 if you go to a jeweler.
