The distillery / alembic

This distillation apparatus is manufactured using ancestral methods.

The distillery / alembic is the most widely used system of distillation. Technically more evolved that the alquitar gives higher yields with similar quality (in the worst cases) but never lower than the alquitar.

The distillery / alembic consists of several removable for easy transport, handling and cleaning and enable better maintenance and replacement of damaged parts.

Typically, the distillery / alembic consists of a boiler, with variable capacity, which is placed on a capacitor helmet extending in a cooling tube to the condenser in the form of a copper coil, housed in a deposit, which will be introduced the coolant, with exit to the distillate. The deposit usually fills up with cold water normally circulating in the opposite direction to the distillation coil. At the exit orifice there is usually a device for placing the alcoholometer to provide the degree of output control, and separate the various stages of distillation.
