This Cable is for :
Connecting HDPVR, DVD Players, Blu-ray Players or any other device with component video output (3-RCA's / YPbPr) to a LCD supporting Y,Pb,Pr / Component signal inputs. It will also connect the stereo audio part (Red / White) RCA's to the LCD if the LCD supports RCA inputs for audio.
Technical info
Component video (Y, Pr, Pb / Y, Cr, Cb) is amongst the best analog methods for transferring crisp, vibrant video from your various sources. It will support high definition up to 1080p and progressive scan signals.
Our standard cables are made with RG-59/u coax cables. Coaxial cables provide excellent shielding from signal interference. The connectors are molded on with a built-in strain relief neck, gold plated tips and are color coded in bright and easy to identify shades of red, green and blue.
- 3 RCA Video (Y, Pr, Pb) + 2 RCA Audio (Stereo L/R) Connectors
- Color Coded, Gold Plated, Molded Connectors

RG stands for Radio Guide. It's a specification for types of Coaxial cables. It defines specs such as gauge and impedance. In this case, RG6 uses a thicker gauge than RG 59 and both are 75ohm.
In a perfect environment where there is no signal interferance issues and all componentry are the same level, component should deliver a comparable signal to HDMI. However, because analog signal like component are suceptible to signal interface, picture quality coloration related to cable quality and degredation due to attenuation over distance, in actual application, the HDMI picture will generally look sharper. Component suffers gradual picture quality degredation as the signal degrades while HDMI remains level and then drops off completely. However, component can be more reliable and resilient over extended lengths. Component is a good back up when HDMI can not be reliably used.
