What Is an Oven Thermometer?

An oven thermometer is a small, stainless steel oven-safe thermometer with a clock face dial that allows you to take the most accurate temperature of the oven. An oven thermometer allows you to measure the exact internal temperature of your ovenﾡﾪor as close as you can getﾡﾪto ensure even more exact cook times and results.

The oven thermometer can be put in before you turn on your oven, as long as you feel secure it is in a safe place not touching the sides/flames, this will obviously effect the temperature. You will then be able to get the optimum temperature you want before putting your dish in.
