A rather rare find.

Crown Devon honey pot - 1930's

Height of jar: 7cm. With lid 12.5cm.

Diameter: 10.5cm

This is a nice and strong example of a Deco Crown Devon beehive honey pot, with good shaping and texture. The base has a shaped deco-style green base, with a yellow textured exterior. There are bees painted around the pot, and there is one large applied bee on the lid.

UNFORTUNATELY the applied bee has LOST both wings.

The wings can be restored.

The lid has a smooth finish with a gap for a spoon in it.

It has the Crown Devon backstamp underneath. It is in nice clean condition, with just some light craze lines in the glaze to be expected for the age.
