Acrolophia is a genus of orchid species all endemic to South Africa. Growing orchids from seed is a fairly specialized undertaking and it requires a bit of understanding of tissue culture techniques. Acrolophia capensis is a South African endemic species from the Eastern Cape Province. It grows from 30 cm to 60 cm tall. From spring to summer it bears brownish and white flowers.
