10 Beaucarnea stricta Tree Seeds ~ Elephant's Foot, Bottle Palm, Ponytail Palm

A breathtaking plant from the Mexican states of Puebla and Oaxaca, where it grows in dry deciduous forest.

It forms a large trunk with a greatly inflated base, usually not branching before it reaches quite some height and carrying dense rosettes of narrow, stiff, blue green leaves.

It is resistant to drought and can take light to moderate freezes. Beaucarnea are easy to grow plants that are very popular as container plants, bonsai, or landscape specimens.

These strange yet attractive succulents are extremely drought tolerant. Water is stored in the plant's swollen base.

Beaucarnea thrives in full sun, but can be grown in light shade and high humidity, provided the plant has adequate drainage. Plant in very fast draining soil, allow the soil to dry out between watering and provide little or no water in winter.
