Bloodgood Japanese Maple 'Bloodgood' is a vigorous variety of Japanese maple. Its gorgeously lobed leaves are deep purple in summer, turning scarlet in autumn. Like other Japanese maples, it requires a sunny or moderately shaded area which is sheltered from cold winds. The soil should be moist but well-drained. It is also suitable for growing in a large container. Acer palmatum are deciduous small trees and shrubs, with opposing five pointed leaves, native to Japan, China and Korea. Maples are unrivalled for their autumn foliage colouring and variety of leaf shapes and textures. Maples are a very popular choice for the art of bonsai and many are compact enough for the average garden. Their flowers are green, yellow, orange or red and though individually small, the effect of an entire tree in flower can be striking in several species. Bark is another feature of some maples, although usually smooth grey or greenish, You're buying a pack of 10 Seeds Growing Instructions + a FREE Bonsai eBook will be sent to your email.
