Euphorbia cooperi is a succulent tree up to 7 m tall, with conspicuous candelabra-like branches.

This plant has milky latex highly poisonous to humans and animals.

The latex is used for fish poisoning. The fish poison is prepared by soaking a bundle of grass in the latex, tying it to a stone and throwing it into the water. Paralysed fish rise to the surface within a short period of time.

The leaves, or rather succulent branches, of this awsome tree Euphorbia has 4 to 6 ribs and almost looks like a chunky string of beads.

Euphorbia cooperi, growing up to 3 m tall, can create a statement in any garden due to its structural qualities and it can be used as an accent plant to attract attention. As a bonus it is easily propagated from seed, though these are difficult to collect because as soon as the seed capsule is ripe it releases the seeds, shooting them meters away from the adult plant.
