Gaillardia 'Dwarf Goblin' Seeds

Common Name: Blanketflower

This Gaillardia variety boasts large eye catching, daisy like flowers with bright red petals, and golden yellow edges on short compact plants. Goblin puts on a spectacular flowering show starting in early summer and just keeps on blooming until the first hard frost. Growing to only about 30cm high, its bushy compact habit makes it ideal for patio containers, beds and borders. Gaillardias are very popular with gardeners for their ability to resist drought and provide a long season of growth and color. Gaillardia is a very easy to grow perennial that requires little care and will thrive even in poor dry soils. Plants should be divided in early spring every 2 to 3 years. These will flower in its first year from sowing and are hardy from -20° Celsius and higher. Flowers are attractive to butterflies, and they also make excellent for cut flowers, lasting 6-10 days!
