Habranthus gracilifolius Seeds
Argintinian Rain Lily
Habranthus is a genus in the Amaryllidaceae family with species from Central and South America extending into southern North America. All of them have narrow, linear or strap-shaped leaves. Their flowers are very similar to Zephyranthes and both are called rain lilies because they flower in profusion after a rain shower during summer. Habranthus gracilifolius has wire-like leaves that are only two to three millimetres wide. This little guy with the beautiful eye-catching flowers is native to Uruguay and Argentina where is receives rainfall throughout the year except late summer which triggers flowering.
