This affordable special accessory is useful to achieve off-camera flash photography results without the harsh shadows behind your subjects common when using direct flash exposures.
This third party accessory allows you to connect your Olympus Speedlite on one end of the cord and the other end will be mounted to the Hot Shoe unit of your camera. You can stretch the accessory's cord by up to 1.8 metres long and away from the camera in any shooting degrees you wish to point the flash towards your intended subject.
The Off Camera Shoe Cord 2 unit also come with a built-in tripod socket at the other end where the Speedlite unit is attached to which permits it to be locked onto a tripod and frees your hand from holding the off-camera flash.
How to use the TTL cord?
1. Attaching to the camera: Slip the camera connector of the TTL cord into the camera's hot shoe all the way.
2. Secure the off camera shoe cord: On the camera connector, slide the lock lever to the right. When the lock lever clicks in the place, it will be locked.
3. Detach the off camera shoe cord: While pressing the lock-release button, slide the lock lever to the left and detach the off camera shoe cord
