Massonia is a genus in the Hyacinthaceae family found in dry areas in southern Africa. There are 6 species with four from the South African Cape province. Most species are winter growers and easily grown from seed. They make nice pot plants. Massonia pustulata is a South African endemic species from the Western Cape Province. It has two broad leathery prostrate leaves with tubercles on the upper surface. Durining it bears many creamy white/pink/yellow flowers.
