Chrysanthemum leucanthemum Seeds Common Names include Ox-Eye Daisy, White Daisy, Margurite Daisy, Moon Daisy and Oxeye. Ox-Eye Daisy (Chrysanthemum Leucanthemum) is a short-lived perennial originally brought here from Europe. It is a beautiful flower, and it is one of our toughest perennial wildflowers. Ox-eye daisy requires cold winters to initiate blooming. The leaves are very thick, and feel leathery to the touch. Flowers are pure white with mustard-yellow centers, individually borne on single erect stems. This is the common roadside daisy. Ox-Eye Daisy (Chrysanthemum Leucanthemum) is one of the first wild perennials to bloom in any meadow. First spring after germination the season before, bloom is extremely early and very profuse. The plant also reproduces vegetatively with spreading rootstalks. Blooms second and successive years from expanding clumps. Plant the seed anytime, and expect bloom after one full winter. (This species will not bloom in no-frost regions.) This plant is a great cut flower. On offer is a pack of 10 Seeds We'll supply you with all the germination & care instructions |
