E. Pillans also traded as Albion Mineral Water Works and were in the directories from 1892 till 1924.It is, however, interesting that one line on the bottle reads: "Soda Water Factory Established 1885" !
Pillans Rd in Rondebosch is named after the company's founder. The bottle is 22.5 cm high and in very good condition, other than a small crack in the lip (shown in the photo, but hardly noticeable). It was made by E. Breffit & Co Ltd of Castleford England. (A maker I have not come across before.)
