These capacitors are used for Bypass, Coupling and Frequency discriminating circuits where Q and Stability of capacitor characteristics are not of major importance. They feature stabile capacitance values at varying temperatures and low loss at a wide range of frequencies. They are commonly used to supress DC motor RF interference.
