Common Name: Climbing Dock Rumex sagittatus is an eye-catching, low growing, climbing or scrambling herb. It has a tuberous woody rootstock and stems to 3 m long. The leaves are arrow-head shaped, 30-80 x 20-60 mm. From November to March it puts on a stunning display of attractive yellow-pink flowers. The stems and fruit may turn coral-red and make a colourful display. The climbing dock, as it is commonly known, is well adapted to a wide range of climates and will readily re-sprout after frost.
