Watsonia is a genus of plants in the Iridaceae family native to South Africa. The genus is named after Sir William Watson, a British botanist.

There are 52 species in southern Africa; all are perennial herbs growing from corms and producing erect spikes of showy flowers, and are adapted to a mediterranean-type climate.

Watsonia zeyheri is a South African endemic species from the Western Cape Province. It was previously known as Watsonia comptonii and Watsonia elimensis. It grows to 80cm tall. It has 4 leaves. From spring to summer it bears salmon-orange flowers.
