Mealworms
DESCRIPTION
The amount is for 1000 mealworms
Mealworms get their name from the fact that they feed on flours, such as oat meal, corn meal or wheat products. They may be easily raised on oats, bran or cornmeal. Moisture is provided by small amounts of sliced potato, carrots, peaches or apple as a water source 2 or 3 times a week, that should be replaced before it goes moldy. They grow best in well-ventilated containers with large surface areas, and smooth sides to prevent them from escaping.
Mealworms are low in fat, high in protein and a healthy live food source for the following animals/pets:
Birds
Chickens, turkeys, guinea fowl, peafowl, quail, pheasant, bluebirds, songbirds, and well most birds!
Mammals
Hedgehogs, shrews, moles, voles, bats, rats, monkeys and other mammals that eat insects.
Reptiles
Aquatic turtles of all sorts, tortoises, lizards, chameleons, basilisks, water dragons, anoles, dragons, geckos and well most reptiles that eat bugs!
Amphibians
Frogs, toads, newts, and salamanders of all sorts!
Fish
Archers, goldfish, piranha, arrowana, and any big fish that eats bug meat!
SHIPPING DETAILS
We only ship within South Africa. It will be R25 for parcel counter to counter. We recommend shipping them speed service overnight, It will cost R60. Combined shipping welcome to save costs, just contact us for the amount. Postage for the mealworms will be Insured. We will ship your item/s within 24 - 48 hours after confirmation of payment. Please note that we do not ship on Fridays and the day before a public holiday.
PAYMENTS
Please make payments via EFT(Electronic Funds Transfer) or Cash Deposit(Please add R10 extra for bank charges), within 5 days after purchase. Any bids/sales not paid within 5 days, without a valid reason, will have a SNC(Sale Not Complete) filed, and will go back on auction. If you want insurance, don't forget to add 2% of the item value (winning amount) to your payment. Kindly list your Bid or Buy username as your reference. Account details will be provided on success of bid or sale. Please do not bid unless you have read the item description very carefully...no bids will be retracted/deleted as your bid is a binding contract.
