100mm Impulse Sealer

An impulse sealer is used to close the open edge of a bag for heat shrinking the bag. This simple process has just a few steps.

1. Place item in bag

2. Use the sealer to make a new seam so contents are completely encased

3. Use a heat gun to shrink the bag

Each sealer has an element that heats up only when the sealing bar is held down. The sealing wire then heats up the plastic film and compounds it together to create the seal. We advise you to adjust the timing gauge to the lowest setting needed for the seal to allow the element and tape to last longer.

Impulse bag sealers heat up and cool down in just seconds, making them safe to handle and used. Direct heat (aka constant heat) sealers get very hot and stay hot. Using a direct heat sealer does require the operator to be mindful of the hot sealing jaws.

Bag sealers are extremely easy to set up and operate. Most allow you to set the sealing time and some the sealing temperature. These sealers, in most cases, are as easy to use as a pair of scissors. Very little training is required.
