Amaranthus Variety Seed Pack

On offer is a Variety Seed Pack consisting of 20+ Seeds from Each of the following species, Each individually packed and identified.

Amaranthus Autumn's Touch

This unique, bi-color amaranth produces lovely soft pastel tones of pistachio-green flowers tipped with bronze. Its large blooms last for many weeks for a dazzling display in the garden. Perfect for cutting to add texture and color for fresh or dried indoor arrangements. This is a very stately plant growing to approximately 1- 1.5m tall and does not require support. If you like amaranthus, these look great when mixed with other amaranth varieties such as Molten Fire and the traditional Love-Lies-Bleeding.

Amaranthus Love-Lies-Bleeding

This heirloom variety will make a beautiful statement in your garden or as a wonderful container plant.
With lovely light green, thick foliage, this plant becomes loaded with deep red pendant plumes by mid-summer and blooms right to frost.
The long red trusses give the plants an ornamental and graceful appearance. These are great for drying and also makes an impressive fresh-cut flower. In rich well drained soil, this annual will grow to about 1.5m high with a spread of about 60cm and flower clusters up to 60cm long, so give them lots of space.

Amaranthus Perfecta

Want to add an explosion of colour to your garden - try these - its almost like having poinsettias growing in your garden! Vivid rich red, yellow and green 'flower' foliage make this specimen an eye-catching plant in anyone's garden. A vigorous grower, this Amaranthus will reach an height of about 1m, making them ideal as a temporary shrub or even hedge. Like all Amaranthus varieties, the flowers are excellent for cutting or drying. Quite unique.

Amaranthus Green Tails

Very similar to the old fashion Love-Lies-Bleeding plant, Green Tails is a modern version of this classic heirloom. Instead of the traditional red tassels, it has drooping lime-green tassels. The cascading green flowers and green foliage will make a beautiful backdrop in your garden beds or in containers and hanging baskets. Mix them with other red amaranth varieties for a stunning visual effect. These are great for drying and also makes an impressive fresh-cut flower. Plants grow to about 1.2m high with flower clusters up to 60cm long.

Amaranthus Pygmy Torch

Long-lasting, colorful, deep burgundy 30cm tassel-like flower spikes make this a real eye-catcher in your garden. Grow them in clumps in your flower beds or use them to add a bold color contrast to your container plants. These are excellent for use in fresh or dried arrangements and for use in winter bouquets. A very early bloomer and easy to grow from seed. Height only 50cm.

Amaranthus Molten Fire

One of the most colorful amaranths, this stunning variety is grown for its bright, glowing crimson-maroon foliage. Quickly growing to 1.2m high, these are excellent plants for long-lasting fillers for beds or toward the back of your garden. The leaves are edible and also make great "cut flowers" to brighten indoor flower arrangements. They do produce a dark red seed head composed of tiny flowers but the flowers go mostly unnoticed because of the showy foliage.
