The modern 14ct white gold ring has an oval-cut sapphire (circa 5.8mm x 3.7mm / 0.45ct; medium dark blue colour; SI clarity) claw-set onto an oval head. There are 16 small round-cut diamonds claw-set as a halo round the sapphire and a further five similar diamonds set into each shoulder of the ring. The diamonds are approximately 0.015ct each making a total of circa 0.39ct of diamonds (colour I-J; clarity circa SI). The ring has been electronically scanned and confirmed to be 14ct white gold.
