Black Spanish Round Radish is a round crisp hot radish. It was first introduced around 1824, and is still a very popular choice for a winter radish. It makes a root 7.5 to 10cm in diameter and with black skin, but the flesh is white and succulent. Can be used as a vegetable in soups and stews but generally sliced or grated into salads, without any of the fieriness found so often in the summer varieties.

Sown in late autumn this variety will keep all winter stored in moist sand. Add some color to the garden and the plate. Harvest in just 55 days!
