Operating pressure:
There is a breather in the top of the tank. These systems boil easily, and the steam has to escape easily.
The pressure is gravitational, from the water in the tank only.
Tube seals: silicon rings
Welded by a high efficiency rolling welding machine.
At the bottom of the tank is a hole designed for the Chinese type elements. It is sealed with a plug that fits into a 47mm silicon ring. If the system is installed under pressure, This plug pops out. This ensures longer tank life.
Heating elements:
Standard South African geyser elements: 1, 1.5 or 2kW.
A Chinese type 1.5kW heating element can be used, but according to South African standards it is not recommended.
All these elements can be controlled by a thermostat or a SR609 programmable control panel.
