Magnficient large frontispiece engraving of St. Augustine by Francesco Zucchi, as well as a title vignette by him. A further four fine engravings in the text. 1272 pages Velllum has a chip at the top of the spine as well as a small chip at the base of the spine. Corners and edges bumped and scuffed and a couple of tiny wormholes to endpapers, none in text or on illustrations. Marbled edges.
