THIS SERVING PLATTER MIGHT HAVE A GREAT VALUE This platter is made by New Wharf Pottery and is the Monarch pattern, the interesting thing about it is that that LOGO has a mistake in it and says " New Wharf Potty" instead of New Wharf Pottery as per the first image you will see that pottery is not spelt correctly.
It dates back to the late 1800's and is 'The Flow Blue' method where they intentionally allowed the cobolt blue colour flow into the white background so the finish had a smeared effect. This method was mostly stopped by the 1900's. The platter is in very good condition considering its age and has no visible cracks or chips, it is a really lovely piece for the collector of blue and white. Size 36cms long by 26cms wide.
