Ferdinand VII (1784 - 1833) was King of Spain (and colonial Mexico) twice, in 1808, and from 1813 to 1833 (from 1808 to 1813 in dispute with Joseph Bonaparte). He was also known as 'Ferdinand the Desired'.
You are bidding on a Spanish Colonial (Mexico) Silver 8-Reale (Piece of Eight): a Huge crown-sized coin.
Obverse: The Latin inscription is FERDIN[ANDUS] VII DEI GRATIA 1809 ("Ferdinand VII, By the Grace of God, 1809").
Reverse. The Latin inscription is HISPAN[IARUM] ET IND[IARUM] REX M[EXICO] 8 R[EALES] ("King of the Spains and of the Indies, Mexico City Mint, 8 Reales")
The reverse also depicts the arms of Castile and Leon supported by the Pillars of Hercules. (That is way these coins are also known as Pillar Dollars).
This Piece-of-Eight is very obviously in sea salvaged condition as per the following picture …
