Based on the high-resolution photos, here is my assessment of the condition and grading which is subjective and this is my opinion and based on my visual evidence Please note that "grading" was not done by any professional organisation or person but solely by my references to catalogues and other information. While I strive for accuracy, I cannot guarantee that all details and information are 100% correct.
Purchase decisions are made entirely at the buyers discretion.
Obverse (Heads)
Observations: Queen Victorias "Young Head" portrait shows significant wear. The hair lines above the ear and the details of the hair bun have merged into flat areas. However, her profile remains distinct, and the legend (the Latin text) is fully visible and readable.
Toning: There is heavy, dark "circulated" toning. While some collectors prefer original "rainbow" toning, this dark grey patina is typical for silver coins found in old collections or "junk silver" bins.
Reverse (Tails)
Observations: The reverse is actually in slightly better condition than the obverse. The crown on top of the "3" still shows individual jewels, and the oak leaves in the wreath have good definition.
Condition Note: There is a notable "rim nick" (a small dent on the edge) at the 12 o'clock position above the crown. In professional grading, this is considered "damage" and typically prevents the coin from receiving a higher technical grade.
Authenticity:
I guarantee this coin to be authentic.
