Up for sale are original Cape Times Newspapers from 1880 and 1906. These are 100 percent authentic and were previously stored at the Cape Colonial Offices. The 1880 newspapers are usually 4-6 pages and the 1906 are around 10 pages. Unlike today's newspapers, the front pages were reserved for advertisements and the news is tucked away a few pages later.
The pictures posted here are not the actual papers you will get, but will be very similar and within the same year. I only have 1 paper per day, so please accept these as suitable examples. If you would like me to take photos of the paper I would sell to you let me know and I'll get you the photos.
The papers are all still very readable, but have some small tears along the edges and bindings. For newspapers that are almost 130 years old they are in very good condition. Some have small pencil or pen markings, but these were made by the original reader over a hundred years ago.
These papers will be safely shipped in a Poster Tube to anywhere in SA for R30
I do combined shipping, so please check out my other listings!
