Based on the high-resolution photos, here is my assessment of the condition and grading which is subjective and this is my opinion and based on my visual evidence Please note that "grading" was not done by any professional organisation or person but solely by my references to catalogues and other information. While I strive for accuracy, I cannot guarantee that all details and information are 100% correct.
Purchase decisions are made entirely at the buyers discretion.
Obverse (Heads):
The portrait of Queen Victoria is heavily worn. Most of the fine details in the hair, crown, and veil have been smoothed away. There are numerous deep scratches across the face and field, and the legend (lettering) is beginning to merge with the rim in some areas.
Reverse (Tails):
The central "ONE SHILLING" text is still legible, but the shield and crown details are flat. Like the obverse, there is heavy scratching across the surface.
Overall Grade: In numismatic terms, this is a "filler" or "budget" grade. The coin has seen extensive circulation and likely some rough handling or cleaning over the last 139 years.
Authenticity:
I guarantee this coin to be authentic.
