1889 British silver Double Florin of Queen Victoria .Weight of 22.62gm, 36mm diameter and 92.5% silver content. These coins were only struck from 1887-1890. Great coin in higher grade with some nice light iridescent toning.
What is a Double Florin coin?
The double florin, or four-shilling piece, was a British coin produced by the Royal Mint between 1887 and 1890. One of the shortest-lived of all British coin denominations, it was struck in only four years.
