Although the 2009 book value of this coin is a whopping R3800,
the true value of an item is determined by a willing buyer, i.e., you!
The toning on the obverse and reverse do not compare,
which is something I understand NGC considers when grading.
Not clean, with few rim bumps on the reverse.
The details look to be around VF, which is quite scarce for a 1894 2/-
(Compare to the quality and price of other similar coins on BidorBuy)
Super value!
my personal opinion is that the latest market value of this coin is around R2000.
Anything below that would be an absolute bargain!
