This is a $1000 3.5 Per Cent Gold Bond issued in June 1897 by the New York Central & Hudson River Railroad Company. Was due to be paid off in 1997 (in gold!). This is a Large sized bond. Good condition, has been folded. Cancellation holes at top right. Has a beautiful themed vignette at top.
Comes with over 50 coupons still attached!
The issue date appears in written words in the bottom center of the front of the certificate. The maturity date appears in numbers on the reverse of the certificate.
