18ct Gold and Blue Sapphire "Flower" Drop Earrings by Le Gi

The vintage pair of 18ct yellow and white gold drop earrings are flower-shaped, and have shepherd's hooks with clip closures. The flowerheads each have a white gold dome centre, surrounded by five petals set with blue sapphires. The sapphires are cut and drilled beads held in place by central gold pins. There are seven sapphires to each petal and there is an additional sapphire set in the nodes between the flowers. That makes 40 sapphires per earring. The total weight of sapphire is approximately 2.5ct for the pair. The earrings are marked "750; Le Gi; Italy".
