18ct Gold, Mabe Pearl and Diamond Ring by Ritco

 

The vintage dress ring is in 18ct yellow gold. At its centre there is a tube-set light grey mabe South Sea pearl (circa 10.5mm diameter; round; smooth with slight striations; pink overtones; good lustre with minor surface blemishes). The shoulders of the ring are bifurcated and form widening bands either side of the pearl. These two bands are each set with seven small round, somewhat old-cut diamonds, which are graded with the largest diamond at the centre of the band. The total weight of these diamonds is approximately 0.15ct. The ring is marked "Ritco; 18CT" (indicating that the ring was made by Ritco Manufacturing Jewellers, of Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
