18K gold Art Deco wristwatch, America, circa 1920.

The 'Roaring 20's', bold, geometric lines, luxury and sophistication, are just a few terms that come to mind when we think of Art Deco. These terms are beautifully embodied in this Art Deco watch from the Americas, the geometric cut-cornered rectangular case was made by Solidarity (an American watch case company) in finely polished 18K white gold. The front of the case is inlaid with black enamel in straight connecting lines, interspersed with a black star and S-shaped swirl passing through it. The back of the watch is engraved "P.S." The strap is a patented design of hollow geometric shapes linked together and is made in 14K gold plated. The watch works is Swiss made. (The watch is self-winding and works, but doesn't keep time perfectly)
