18K gold Edwardian enamel and ruby Montreux watch. Circa 1900.

Absolutely magnificent (!) are the only words to describe this spectacular automatic watch. Masterfully handcrafted with the highest attention to detail, each little leaf has been handmade and hand-engraved. The beautiful leaves have been attached to swirl designs and royal blue enamel has been added symmetrically as well. Small rubies are set between the leaves as little flowers and add pops of colour. At the bottom a seed pearl dangles from blue enamel posts with gold dots painted on. The back of the watch has more intricate hand-engraved leaves and scroll designs. A piece for the ages - we have yet to see another like it! Made circa 1900. (The glass was later replaced with a plastic cover that was specifically made for this watch.)(Please also note that the watch does work - it just doesn't keep perfect time).
