A uniform 19volume set of Collins midcentury Permanent Classics,

Small format, bound in dark green cloth with silver spine lettering and the distinctive series mark at the base. These compact hardcovers gather a beautifully varied library:

Austen's Sense and Sensibility, Dickens's Great Expectations, Brontë's Jane Eyre, Dumas's The Three Musketeers, Hugo's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Verne's Round the World in Eighty Days, Sewells Black Beauty, Schreiner's The Story of an African Farm, Haggard's She, Clarke's For the Term of His Natural Life, Scott's Kenilworth, Stevensons Kidnapped & Catriona, London's The Call of the Wild, White Fang & The Scarlet Plague, Butlers The Way of All Flesh, Wallace's Ben Hur, Weyman's Under the Red Rose, Mountevans's South With Scott, Flaubert's Madame Bovary, and the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam edited by George F. Maine.

All volumes are clean and firmly bound, with only two noted flaws (a torn portrait page in Madame Bovary and light top edge staining in Sense and Sensibility that does not affect the text).

A rare, coherent run of this lesser known Collins imprint, ideal for readers, collectors, and lovers of vintage uniform editions.
