The original owner had repaired this book himself. My husband read it once after he was given it, and then I stored it away, to prevent any further wear and tear or damage.

THE HISTORY BEHIND THIS BOOK -:

David Mackay Wilson gave this book personally to J.A.Spear, as they had become friends. J.A.Spear became the Mayor of Barberton in 1919 -1920. There are pencil notes made on pages throughout the book, as the book was loaned out for research and reference reasons, to History Book Authors etc, when they were doing their own research. Hence the condition of the cover of the book, it was well used and read.
