"Cape Colony. No. 20419. Original (To be retained by Passenger). Mrs. Baartman & 2 Children has authority to proceed from Cape Town to Colesberg on 23.12.01. N.B. - This does "NOT" entitle the holder to travel free."
This permit is in very good condition considering it is over a 100 years old! Some folds, bottom left corner torn and "hingemarks" on the back, please see scans.
