1906 Athens Olympic Games Bronze Participation Medal (RARE with value approx. R9000 to R12 500)

This is what I could find on the internet regarding a similar medal

1906 Athens Olympic Games Bronze Participation Medal: From the 1906 Greece Olympic Games. The Medal measures 2 inches across and is 1/8 inch by Lytras struck by Pittner Vienna. Seated goddess Nike holding wreath over Phoenix arising from flames Acropolis in background. Reverse; wreath enclosing inscription. Note - as there was surplus medals not used in 1898, they were re-employed and used again in Athens (Rare).

From another auction website:- 1906 Athens Summer Olympic Games; 'Gold' (gilt bronze) Participation Medal 50mm by Lytras, struck by Pittner Vienna, Athena holding wreath over Phoenix arising from flames, Acropolis in background, Rev wreath enclosing inscription, rare VF. These games were held to commemorative the 10th Anniversary of the Olympics in the modern era.
