This Bayonet was made in April 1915 by Wilkinson (Sword) The handle is Stamped U with Arrow making it a Union South Africa Army Issue and therefore
This Bayonet was again Re-issued in 1922 (Stamped 22) for the Rand Revolt ! ! ! The army was sent by Smuts in to quell the mining revolt which resulted in +/- 150 deaths and around 500 wounded.
